Starting to Prefer

Ah -- some reflection by the Almighty.  The goings-on of Heaven is a popular theme for New Yorker cartoons; here's a homerun in that category by the talented Robert Leighton.   

Original hand-drawn cartoon published in the April 18, 2006 issue of the New Yorker magazine.  Pen, ink and gouache with applied in washes on 9" x 12" vellum Bristol 100lb paper (image size is approximately 7.25" x 10.25").

Reverse side contains a New Yorker production sticker and the artist's return address stamp.  Like new.
