Irony in religion in this hilarious 'sans caption' cartoon by Matt Diffee.  Matt bears the unique distinction of having been identified by none other than Steve Martin as one of the funniest people in the world.  It's also a little-known fact that he's served as a mentor for many an up-and-coming New Yorker cartoonist.

This piece was published in the New Yorker on October 7, 2007. 

Pencil on 11" x 14" smooth Bristol board.  (Image measures approximately 8.25" x 8.25".  New Yorker production sticker on reverse side.  Excellent condition.

This piece is sold with a protective sheet of tracing paper to prevent smudging.  We recommend that it not be removed until framing.
