Simple Phone

Original hand-drawn cartoon by Marisa Acocella on the complexity of today's smart-phones. Marisa excels in finding humor in relationships, fashion, and society, and her illustrations often show the dramatic flair of couture design sketches.

This piece was published in the New Yorker on October 13, 2003.  Ink and ink wash on 8.5" x 11" Bristol paper.  The cartoon is taped to a heavy cardboard backing, but the tape does not interfere with the illustration.  New Yorker production sticker is affixed to the reverse side of the backing.  Excellent condition.
